Healthy, Thick Hair

I have been told many times that I am lucky to have such thick and healthy hair. Many people assume it is because I am Asian, but I honestly think it has a lot to do with beauty secrets I have acquired over the years for healthy hair.

First of all, don’t wash you hair everyday. Your hair will get dried out from all this washing and drying. Wash your hair at maximum every other day. Make sure too that the shampoo you are using is natural and does not contain any industrial detergents that will dry out your hair and scalp. These industrial detergents have DEA after their names.

Brush you hair often with a soft-tipped brush. Doing so will help coat your hair with natural oils and bring on a nice luster.

Use a conditioner in the shower and after. Most of the conditioners we use will rinse off, but the conditioner in the shower is great to detangle hair after it is shampooed. Keep a wide toothed comb in the shower with you and use it after you apply the conditioner. Make sure you do this under the water to prevent pulling. Then use a leave-in conditioner after you towel dry your hair.

Dry your hair as little as possible. For styling and drying long hair, let it air dry until it is only a little bit damp. Then style as usual.

Avoid chemical treatments on you hair such as dying or perming. If you have to, wait at least four months between each treatment.

Take a hair, skin, and nails supplement from your natural health food store. This will help you hair grow stronger, longer, and bring a glow to your skin.

Take good care of your hair, inside and out. It will quickly become as asset to your beauty.
